Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has expressed strong support for legislation that would permanently repeal the estate or "death" tax.
Permanent death tax repeal will help family-owned construction businesses, according to ABC.
Reps. Jennifer Dunn (R-Wash.) and Bud Cramer (D-Ala.) introduced H.R. 8, the Death Tax Repeal Permanency Act of 2003. This legislation would make permanent a repeal of the death tax, which currently is set to sunset in 2010.
ABC considers this vote a key vote for its 108th Congress Voting Scorecard, which ABC will release at the end of 2004.
