The Mirage line of prefinished hardwood floors said it is making available a new web-based "personal design assistant" that enables consumers to see a 360-degree view of flooring products in specific types of rooms. The company says its new "Mirage Dreamer," available at www.miragefloors.com, lets consumers "view, design and simulate various flooring configurations and other room features in real-time."

Luc Robitaille, director of marketing for Boa-Franc Inc., the parent company of Mirage said the design tool will enable consumers to more fully understand their options prior to making a purchase.

"The Mirage Dreamer is a dynamic tool for anyone who wants to make informed buying decisions and learn more about the impact that a particular wood flooring style, color and finish can have on the entire look of a room," said Robitaille. "We hope the Mirage Dreamer will become a trusted resource for information and inspiration for architects, designers and consumers alike."

In addition to creating a "customized, personalized flooring experience," the company said the new web-based tool provides users with product specifications, including wood species, stain color and finish, luster, length and width. Visitors can also request the Mirage Dreamer online newsletter, which provides product information on a regular basis.
