As the exclusive flooring sponsor of the 25th anniversary project of "This Old House," Mannington Mills had more than 5,000 square feet of its hardwood installed in the Carlisle House in Massachusetts. The home's interior designers chose exotic Andino Cherry and handscraped Heritage Hickory for the project. In addition, John Himes, Mannington's director of hardwood, was asked to appear on the show.

"I've watched the show for years and always admired what they do," Himes said. "It was a huge thrill to be there on the set and meet everyone."

The show will premiere Thursday, Feb. 17, as episode number 2420. Check local listings for exact date and time. A feature article on the project will appear in the April 2005 issue of This Old House magazine.
