Buckwold buys Wanke Cascade, makes push into U.S. marketplace
Western Canadian distributor Buckwold Western has purchased Wanke Cascade, a well-established distributor in the Pacific Northwest. With the acquisition, Buckwold plans to operate six full-service centers in Canada and three in the U.S.
"Putting two very successful flooring distributors together makes a lot of sense," said Bruce Buckwold, president of Buckwold Western. He noted that the purchase aims to expand Buckwold's presence in the U.S.
Brian Radditz, continuing president of Wanke Cascade, added that the acquisition is a "win-win agreement" for both companies.
"It's a wonderful way to celebrate our 75th anniversary," he said.
