Mannington's Infinity RE utilizes recycled content
Infinity RE
from Mannington Commercial is the company’s latest effort in “re-utilizing more
waste than it sends to the landfill” with its Infinity RE carpet tile backing -
a recycled product that contains both post-consumer drywall and post-consumer
carpet.
“This carpet reclamation program demonstrates Mannington’s concern for product life,” says Dave Kitts, Mannington’s vp – environment. Kitts adds, “LOOP is provided at no cost to Mannington’s customers, so it’s a win-win-win situation - the customers win; Mannington wins; and the environment wins.”
Products with the Infinity RE backing are standard on various Mannington modular carpet styles, and available as a custom option on other styles.
Additionally, the Infinity RE backing contributes to the recycled content and other credits in LEED, the company says.
