FcB2B, the Floor Covering Business to Business Association, elected its board of directors during its first annual meeting in Atlanta. The board includes: D. Christopher Davis, CEO of the World Floor Covering Association, as chairman; Ed Korczak, executive director of the National Wood Flooring Association, as vice chairman; and Rick Church, executive director of the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, as secretary-treasurer/CFO. Aaron Pirner, CEO of CAP Carpet, and Pamela Bowe, president of Bowe Co., remain as co-presidents of the organization.

Additional board members include Frank Hurd, COO of the Carpet and Rug Institute; and Steve Johnson, president of Butler-Johnson Corp., representing the North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors.

“Over a relatively brief period of time we have watched the adoption of this technology grow throughout the distribution chain,” Davis said. “Interest in this topic has been facilitated by seminars, educational forums and focus groups, all designed to increase awareness of B2B technology and the benefits now available.”

Founded last year, fcB2B is designed to promote and enhance B2B communications and services throughout the industry. This includes advocating customer/supplier electronic transactions, as well as developing B2B standards for use throughout the industry.
