NFT columnist Ray Thompson (right) accepts a Lifetime Achievement Award from Armstrong World Industries’ installation specialist, Tim Provence  The award was presented to recognize Thompson’s dedication to the flooring industry and his extensive involvement  in training and education over the past thirty years. Upon receiving the award, Thompson said he was deeply honored. He added that he would like to see more appreciation for the installer working in the field. “I feel he should be recognized for his craft and skill, unfortunately the recognition needed seems to be waning.”
