Mohawk was a top winner in this year’sNFTStyling Excellence Awards for its Gravura porcelain floor tile. Made to offer the look of natural slate, the ceramic tile features advanced ink jet technology for highly realistic visuals, according to Jason Roshel, product director for Dal-Tile, a Mohawk sister company.

“High-resolution images of a stone are scanned into the machine’s computer,” Roshel explained. “The computer-controlled printer heads apply colored ink droplets onto the tile’s surface in a very precise manner. The result is a very sophisticated design, and no two tiles are exactly the same.”

He noted his company was proud to be recognized for its Gravura product. “It’s quite an honor,” he noted. “It helps us reinforce with our customer base” the value of the Mohawk ceramic tile program, Roshel added.
