The E series of hardwood flooring by Model Hardwood was singled out for anNFTStyling Excellence Award in the hardwood category. The FSC-certified collection is designed with environmental sustainability in mind. To cut back on fossil fuels, Model used wood harvested from within a 124-mile radius of the processing plant in Quebec. Additionally, a special felling technique results in 3 percent fewer trees being cut down, the company noted.

“This collection proves you can have a positive impact on the environment and be recognized by your fellow designers for your creativity,” noted Richard Gauvreau, marketing and sales consultant for Model.

E by Model is available in 3 1/4” and 4 1/4” hard maple planks, in Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Montana stains.–Michael Chmielecki
