Mohawk University has launched “Environmental Advantage: Business Growth Through Sustainability,” a course aimed at teaching owners, sales associates and retailers the steps to decrease expenses and increase business with a greener footprint.
“This course proves a year of change,” said Tim Gray, director of Mohawk University. “That’s how many ideas we can bring to the table in this short time. Sustainability is more than just recycling or reusing materials. It’s about achieving effective economic, social, and environmental balance for your business.”
The course focuses on three key principles: profit, people and planet. “We want stores to be able to improve short-term bottom-line financial position-and improve top-line sales by driving more traffic and closing more deals,” Gray noted.
