Green River American Hardwood, a manufacturer and supplier of North American hardwood flooring for over 30 years, recently joined a consortium of vertically integrated hardwood manufacturing partners in upstate New York and announced a reorganization of top management. The company has promoted industry veteranScott Buregato national director of sales and marketing. Before joining Green River, Burega worked for 12 years as head of purchasing for Hoboken Floors' Boston location.

“Scott (Burega) has been a tremendous addition to Green River since he came on board,” said Randy Stertmeyer, Green River's CEO/president. “He’s been a great advocate for our customers, which led us to the decision of expanding his role and areas of responsibility.”

Additionally, Green River announcedLisa Brayhas rejoined the company and been promoted to customer service manager. Bray originally joined Green River in 2006, spending three years as a customer service representative. She has taken on additional responsibilities in her new management role, overseeing all Green River purchase orders, data management and production scheduling, while also working to identify needs, track trends and adjust production accordingly.

“Lisa (Bray) was the natural choice for us to fill the customer service manager position,” said Stertmeyer. “She did a great job for Green River and our customers in her prior role and we look forward to that continuing in the future.”

This reorganization comes as Green River completes construction of a new, modern hardwood mill in Lee Center, N.Y., near its Oswego headquarters. The Green River – Delta Flooring Mill, slated to open this month, will dramatically increase Green River’s production capabilities, according to the company. Green River will manufacture all of its natural and pre-finished solid hardwood collections at the new mill.

Also as part of these recent developments,Randy Stertmeyerwill take on the additional role of president for Green River – SureLock finishing facility, located in Oswego. All Green River American Hardwood pre-finished solid collections, including its new Classic Series of Red Oak, will utilize the Green River – SureLock facilities nano-technology finishing process. SureLock founder,Art “Brownie” Brown,will remain as a full-time consultant and team with Stertmeyer to manage the operation.
