Surya, a progressive manufacturer of area rugs and home accessories, today announced that the brand is running a “Think Pink” campaign through Oct. 31 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
For the remainder of October, 10 percent of proceeds from the sale of 20 pink Surya products will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to foster education and research in the fight against breast cancer.
Founded in 1991 by breast cancer survivor Janelle Hail, NBCF continues to grow every year—helping more and more women around the world by educating them about breast cancer and the importance of early detection, and providing free mammograms to those in need.
It is estimated that each year, more than 230,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and nearly 40,000 will die, making breast cancer the country’s second leading cause of death among women. “Most everyone knows someone who has been impacted by breast cancer in some way – either personally or through a family member, friend or colleague,” said Satya Tiwari, president, Surya. “We are proud to join many other organizations across the nation in the fight to someday soon make the term ‘breast cancer’ obsolete.”
Surya is promoting its "Think Pink" campaign during High Point Market, and will showcase a selection of eligible pink products in its Showplace 4100 flagship location. Market visitors are invited to explore these products, as well as all of Surya’s colorful new introductions, daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
