PID Floors recently celebrated the grand opening of its flagship showroom at 5 West 20th Street in New York City’s Flatiron District. The celebration also honored the company’s founders, Lenny and Ronny Skutelsky who started the company 25 years ago.

The showroom itself is a 4,000 square-foot space in the heart of New York City’s design district, surrounded by other showrooms for furniture, floor and wall coverings and fixtures. It will be the headquarters for PID Floors, which currently also has two other locations in New York – a showroom in the Decoration & Design Building at 979 Third Avenue and another showroom within its Distribution Center in Brooklyn.

The party was a major hit, with several hundred visitors including clients, members of the design and fashion industries, family and friends and Michael Martin, president of the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA). Guests were treated to hors d'oeuvre, drinks and live music.

2014 is the year that marks the company’s silver anniversary, 25 years after the two brothers opened up shop in Brooklyn’s Borough Park neighborhood. “We’ve come a very long way and have a tremendous amount to be thankful for,” said Managing Director Steven Skutelsky, “but we have some very exciting projects in the works both short and long term. The next big thing will be the grand opening of our new showroom in Greenwich, Conn. in the third quarter of this year.”
