Cali Bamboo's Fossilized Measures High on Janka Hardness Scale

Cali Bamboo's Fossilized bamboo flooring has achieved an extremely high rating on the Janka hardness scale—the primary test used to measure a floor’s resistance to wear and durability.

The Janka hardness test works by measuring the force required to embed an 11.28 millimeter steel ball halfway into a piece of wood. The higher the amount of force needed, the higher the Janka score and the more durable the wood. According to the company, every flooring at Cali Bamboo undergoes the Janka test, and its Fossilized bamboo flooring scored 5574 pounds.
