Mohawk announced the winners of its National Retailer of the Year awards, which recognizes the top-performing retailers for both the ColorCenter and Floorscapes aligned retailer programs, at the company's Solutions Convention in Orlando, Fla.

Manasota Flooring and Carpet Weaver’s shared the top honor within the Floorscapes category while Mark’s Flooring and Royal Flooring were both named ColorCenter Retailer of the Year.

“For the first time ever, we made the decision to name two winners in each category because of each retailer’s incredible success and demonstrated commitment to the Mohawk aligned program,” said David Duncan, senior vice president of marketing and sales operations at Mohawk. “All four retail stores are best-in-class retail businesses and their associates are experts in all aspects of flooring, including product, marketing, service and installation. These retailers are assets to their communities, and we are proud to include them as a business partner and an integral part of the Mohawk family.” 

Mohawk uses various criteria to identify its Retailers of the Year out of thousands of aligned stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. Primarily, the company looks for retail stores that are true ambassadors of the Floorscapes and ColorCenter programs and exhibit an ongoing commitment to training, store standards, brand building, merchandising, installation ideas and community involvement. Mohawk’s National Retailer of the Year winners are selected from the company’s pre-selected regional winners. 

Having been recognized as a regional winner three times in the past, Manasota is no stranger to success within the Mohawk aligned program. The business prides itself on its commitment to the consumer experience. From the moment consumers enter the store, they are greeted by a well-trained and customer-focused sales team to enhance the buying experience. Owner Bob Tiffany attributes the store’s continued success to his involvement in the Floorscapes program.

Carpet Weaver’s, located in central Illinois, has been in business for 25 years. The eight-store operation is a second-generation family floor covering business. Owners Mark and Tyler Weaver utilize both traditional and digital advertising with a strong emphasis on social media and a state-of-the-art website to drive store traffic.

“Our partnership with Mohawk gives us an opportunity to offer a vast and diverse assortment of flooring products to fit any personal style for every room in a home or business,” said Mark Weaver. “It’s an honor to join the ranks of Floorscapes retailers who have previously received this recognition.”

Mark’s Flooring Center has two locations in central Florida: Minneola and Mount Dora. Owner Mark Compston, a flooring industry veteran who has been selling floors since 1976, strives to be a positive influence in his community and places a strong emphasis on customer service. He optimizes his partnership with Mohawk by actively supporting the goals and initiatives of the ColorCenter program.

Royal Flooring, located in Altoona, Iowa, has been in business for 10 years. Under the leadership of Nick Fiala, Johnnie Kennell, Bill Ludwig and Scott Sullivan, the store is constantly improving and expanding its business operations while also serving as an integral part of their community.
