Shaw Industries donated hardwood and tile flooring for Make It Right’s 20 Fort Peck, Mont., reservation homes.

Shaw Industries has donated hardwood and tile flooring for Make It Right’s 20 homes being built on the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana.

Make It Right, which was founded by actor Brad Pitt, builds homes, buildings and communities for people in need. The organization is partnering with the Sioux and Assiniboine tribes of Fort Peck to build sustainable homes on their reservations.

The solar-powered homes will be available to tribe members whose income levels are at or below 60% of the area median income. A percentage of the homes will be dedicated to senior adult and disabled veteran housing, according to a Make It Right representative.

The first of these Cradle to Cradle-inspired, LEED homes was showcased at Dwell on Design in Los Angeles. Shaw Floors’ Epic engineered hardwood in style Meridian and Lunar porcelain tile in color Noce were used throughout.
