SCFCA names Don Karlin Jr. 2003 Silver Trumpet recipient

The Southern California Floor Covering Association (SCFCA) recently honored Don Karlin Jr. with its Silver Trumpet award. Prerequisites for the Silver Trumpet include 25 years of service in the industry, advancement of the industry and involvement in community affairs.

Karlin's career includes 13 years at Shaw Industries as regional vice president responsible for managing Shaw's Sutton division in the Western United States. He also served as president of the Carpet USA chain in Los Angeles, and president of Carpeteria Franchise Corp. Currently, he is national sales manager for MAC Carpet USA.
