In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to negatively impact businesses and individuals around the world, Confindustria Ceramica and EdiCer SpA have decided to postpone Cersaie - the world’s largest international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings - which was originally slated for September 28 to October 2 in Bologna, Italy. The new dates for Cersaie 2020 will be November 9-13, and the adapted format will include lectures and programming focused on ceramic tile as a hygienic solution for the future of architecture and design.

The decision to postpone Cersaie comes after much deliberation and a careful analysis of the current global health situation. Although Italy has entered phase 2 of its COVID-19 response with production resuming and select businesses reopening, social distancing laws remain in effect. The show organizers have agreed that postponement is the best solution to preserve the welfare of Cersaie’s international participants and allow more time for economic recovery.

Drumming up excitement for the show, Cersaie is publishing some great content on their YouTube channel including an ongoing series of talks with design and architecture firms around the world and keynotes from past editions of the fair, such as Renzo Piano, Kazuyo Sejima, and more.
