Dalton Carpet One Floor & Home in Georgia has made its mark by hiring nearly two dozen interior designers. JR Allred, president, DCO, partnered local colleges that have design programs to offer a special opportunity to young designers. “I feel like from a company model it basically gives us the opportunity to have a higher level of service to provide because we’re looking at more than just flooring now—we’re looking at everything,” Allred said. “When you’re looking at everything you need somebody who has the ability to pull together all of those different ideas and designers are really the people to do that.”
