CarpetsPlus of America named Tony Ausilio, of Bixby Plaza CarpetsPlus, Retailer of the Year during the company's recent 2002 convention in Las Vegas. Ausilio has been a member of CarpetsPlus since 1997.

Ausilio maintains stores in Seal Beach and Long Beach, Calif. In 2001, he changed his stores' names from Bixby Plaza Carpets to Bixby Plaza CarpetsPlus. Ausilio joined a CarpetsPlus pantheon that includes past retailers of the year John and Wendy MacCheyne, Jerry and Mary Butler, Dana and Bonnie Bilyeu, and Mike and Regan Peters.
