Congoleum has announced price increases on several of its commercial and residential products that will become effective Nov. 1.

Prices on the following Congoleum products will increase as follows: all commercial tile products will increase five to eight percent; all commercial sheet products will increase by six percent; all DIY tile products (and the same in dry-back form) will increase three to five percent; and all sundry items will increase by five percent.

Also, as of Jan. 1, 2005, Congoleum's latest product introduction, XclusiveTM resilient flooring featuring ScotchgardTM Protector, will increase by five percent.

"The increases are necessitated by an unprecedented rise in cost of key raw materials plus, to a lesser extent, energy costs," said Dennis Jarosz, Congoleum's senior vice president of Sales and Marketing. "We have, and will continue, to work with our current suppliers to explore ways to keep costs down as well as investigate alternate raw materials."
