Coverings 2008 to include wide range of retailer classes
Plans call for Coverings 2008, set
for April 29 through May 2 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando,
Fla., to feature 18 educational seminars targeted toward tile and stone
distributors and retailers. The classes are part of a conference program set to
include more than 80 seminars in tracks for Architects & Designers,
Contractors & Installers, Distributors & Retailers, Green Building and
Stone. All classes are free of charge and offer CEU credits from AIA, ASID or
NKBA, according to show organizers.
Glenn Feder, president of client events for Coverings organizer National Trade Productions, said the revamped conference program was designed with attendees in mind. “I think attendees will find that the 2008 edition of Coverings, with such an unprecedented offering of educational programs, is not to be missed,” he said.
The Distributors & Retailer track will include “Negotiating Skills for Buyers, Sellers and Everyone,” a keynote presented by retail expert James Dion, who will also present “30 Things to Do When Business Is Tough to Get.” Additionally, industry consultant Donato Grosser will present “Forecasting the U.S. Ceramic Tile Market,” a look at consumption, manufacturing, imports and distribution.
