The spirit of the flooring industry’s giving and caring nature was once again in the air at the Barnsley Gardens resort in Adairsville, Ga., as CCA Global Partners hosted its 12th Annual Alan Greenberg Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF).
The Floor Installation Association of North America (FIANA) and International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) recently held joint conventions in New Orleans.
With that, Flooring America/Flooring Canada (FA/FC) kicked off its next three-year plan, which continues the buying group’s quest to become the most recommended flooring store in North America.

Ask anyone to characterize a green, sustainable tile or installation material and the response is rather predictable—durable, long-lasting, non-emitting, natural ingredients, recycled content.
Despite all these challenges the carpet industry still managed to divert a record amount of product from going to the landfill in 2013—534 million pounds, or 14% of the 3.7 billion pounds of total discarded carpet.
