Blogger duo Shanty2Chic played an influential role in the first year of Quick-Step's Blogger Influencer Outreach program.

Having an impact of the GenX and millennial demographics, sisters Whitney and Ashley are bloggers as well as hosts of the HGTV series Open Concept where they transform family homes into chic, functional spaces.

The bloggers installed Quick-Steps Envique collection's Maison Oak laminate planks in the lower level of Ashley’s home and walked their audience of more than 800,000 followers through the entire process from selection to installation.

“We were thrilled that Ashley chose our Quick-Step Envique laminate flooring for her living room, dining room, studio and entryway,” said Thorn-Brooks. “We were even more pleased to hear how much she loved it."

According to Thorn-Brooks, good bloggers know that their worth is in the trust of their audience, so they will not do anything to compromise that trust.

“A ‘relationship’ is truly what Gen X and Millennials experience with a blogger that they have chosen to trust and follow,” added Thorn-Brooks. “The very important consumer groups of Gen X and Millennials have been so overly marketed to by traditional advertising every day of their lives that they now look to bloggers whom they consider friends and peers for feedback on products, as they feel the blogger’s opinion is trustworthy and genuine.”
