Shaw Industries won twoNFTStyling Excellence Awards for its Anso nylon Accents & Tweeds residential carpet and Shaw Living’s Havana Bay rug collections.

According to Emily Morrow, Shaw’s color, style and design r&d dir., Accents & Tweeds carpet is designed to offer “great styling, body and dimension with a little bit of a forgiveness factor, using the softest of our soft premium Anso nylon fiber.”

The Accents carpets feature a hint of color, including green and chocolate, along with the more neutral Tweed looks. “These products are designed to work really well with hard surfaces and any type of architectural styling,” Morrow noted.

Kim Barta, Shaw Living’s brand mgr., said the Havana Bay rug, which is part of Shaw Living’s Tommy Bahama Home collection, is designed to show “a classical Persian design that adds modern design techniques for an updated feeling.”

She added that the product utilizes an ombre technique, which creates subtle blending from one color to another. “The Moroccan panel design would not be as richly colored, as softly translated, without this technique. It gives the rug a depth and richness that cannot easily be recreated,” Barta noted.
