Company president Don Finkell said the fire, which was discovered at about 7:15 pm by an employee, destroyed the veneer grading, pressing and panel sawing areas. No employees were injured.

Custom Building Products announced recently that it has purchased Aqua Mix Inc., the 26-year-old tile and stone care products maker based in Corona, Calif. According to Custom, based 40 miles west in Seal Beach, plans call for Aqua Mix to retain its name and current management team. Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
