He was recently president and CEO, North America, of Franke from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, he was vp sales at Baldwin Hardware Corp. and progressed through ownership of Masco Corp. and Black and Decker Corp.
China Wood International (CWI) said its recent Global Floor Trends Press Conference at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center in China was a success. The event drew more than 400 showgoers, ranging from upholstery designers to real estate contractors, to discuss China's growing role in the global flooring industry.
After exhibiting its products during Surfaces 2009 in a ballroom at the Venetian hotel, Mannington Mills said it will return to the main show floor for Surfaces 2010, set for Feb. 2-4 at the Sands Epo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. The company will exhibit its full line of residential and commercial flooring at the show.
ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings has announced the grand re-opening of two Southern California showrooms. Now under new ownership, the North Orange County and North Hollywood showrooms feature new layouts, new flooring and new displays to go along with the new and expanded team of associates. A ribbon cutting will be held on June 3, to celebrate the re-opening of the 11,000 sq. ft. North Orange County facility, located at 2342 East Valencia Drive in Fullerton. A second ribbon cutting will follow on June 5, with the re-opening of the 6,600 sq. ft. North Hollywood facility, located at 12625 Sherman Way.
BASF announced that its use of “green power” for a portion of its carpet-backing latex production has earned the company “Green Power Leader” status in the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Green Power Switch Program. TVA's green power, which is derived from solar, wind and methane gas, is certified by Green-e, an independent consumer protection program for the sale of renewable energy and greenhouse gas reductions in the retail market.
